Our Mission Statement
At FOUND, we are a collective of community members and professionals who come together to support Families of the Unique and Neurodivergent throughout the North Park community. Our mission is to foster curiosity, understanding and empower ourselves to become allies and advocates for the neurodivergent people in our lives. Our goal is to work towards an inclusive environment where all children are valued for who they are and respected for their unique strengths. We are not experts but rather a group that learns and supports one another to work towards this goal.
How we get together
Our meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Monday every month 5:00-6:00 pm. Each month will alternate between a meeting and discussion for adults and a more casual meetup at Montclair Park (weather permitting). Kids are always welcome to join us and are encouraged to bring whatever they might need to feel regulated during the meeting (toys, tablets, headphones, etc.)

What is Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity is a term that’s used to describe differences in the way people’s brains work. The idea is that there’s no “correct” way for the brain to work. Instead, there is a wide range of ways that people perceive and respond to the world, and these differences are to be embraced and encouraged.
